Touching...

This is one of the few games that actually messes with there emotions. I loved the gameplay, but I was really more interested in how the story went.
You've created quite a piece of work here. The controls are good, the graphics are simple yet unique.

The music went right into the story and gave the game it's certain feel to it. I really can't find anything I truly dislike about the game. Everything seems perfect in it's own way. A superb job I might say.

It's not bad

But you do need to improve on a few things. As I would instead of having a quiz game about Modern Marvels, I would base it off something more entertaining. I'm not saying that it's not fun, just that you could do better with a smsll cartoon, or movie quiz.
I never really watch Modern Marvels, so I really had to guess through it. No glitches, nothing wrong. To assure you I went through it fully untill I got everyone right. Just to test it out a bit. Everything seems to work fine, and I congratulate you on that. But those sound effects you have going on there are slightly annoying. I would just use something more like a, "Ding" sound.

Just my opinion, but you should really consider working on different kinds of games, Spread your wings. Reach the other genres of gammings.

Well...

It's not the worst quiz I've had. In it's own way it's really good. But, there are a few things.

I already know that question two doesn't work because of the problems in you trying to fix it. But I find that making it to where if we get one wronge we automatically go back to the beginning. Making it to where we have a set number of chances to get wronge would greatly improve.

I am sure you've done a lot better on you other submissions and yoshi quizzes. But I find some of the questions a bit lacking. By that most of them are just common sense.

But nontheless it's a pretty fun little quiz.

Well it's glitchy...

But that's not why the low score. Actaully I found this game really entertaining. Just so you know I've wnet through the whole game and played all the levels. Not a bad game if I do say so myself.

I found the start screen very creative. I love the way the words were set up and it's just a nice neat little screen. It doesn't have much negative spaces and it is mostly filled with what the game is mostly about.
The instructions are simple and easy to understand. Only one page of knowledge needed to conquer this game.

It's very glitchy, but fun as well. I don't understand why these people are saying it's hard. The only hard part is falling through the ground. That's the only handycap in this game.

But it does need improvement. More levels, enemies, goals, it also needs a couple of lives, or checkpoints. I couldn't stand dying the first time I fell and having to restart all the way at the beginning was a pain. But nonthe less it added to the difficutly.

Good job, and I hope one day to see another platforming game from you.

this was back in 06 , my works are far better than this.

Not too bad

I found most of the music pretty enjoyable. But this isn't about the music is it. Well lets see here. I found that there is a lack of items in here. And also the amount of items you are able to use is not much. Adding the amount of each item going to 5-10 would help. Even though most people wouldn't need that much at least they have a choice.
Some items like the boxes that contain items, springs, the check point marker, and some enemies would greatly improve on this game.
I found the backgrounds to be really good. As in there is a good enough amount to choose from. But there should be platforms to match at least most of the backgrounds.
Adding the trash can option would greatly help with this game/gadget. Instead of having them placing the items all over the screen they can simply put them in the little trash bin in turn putting it back into place by itself. Not really needed, but it would help as far as simplifying the game up a bit.

You did do a pretty good job on this. I would love to see another made with some of the advice I gave you. It would probably make a really addicting scene creator. Giving many people minutes of fun. Although scene creators arn't the greatest thing in the world, you can still make one of the best.

Zhuburz responds:

Very good advice!
Thanks for pointing out the problems, I like the trash can idea :3

Oh and Thanks for long and constructive review I i really appreciate it!

I found this game very fun.

I couldn't stop playing the thing. It was so addicting. I love all the different modes you can play, and the fact that one of them is does the opposite from the rest. It requires some practice and getting use to, but once down you're on your way.

Great game. There's nothing else that needs changing. The game in my opinion is utmost perfect.

A pretty decent game.

I actually had fun with this. The graphics are nice and the whole idea is great. I don't have much to say but I think you've done a great job on this.

Xplored responds:

Thank you!

Good game.

Really fun to get into. There are a few slight problems. The concept of the game is quite good. But I do find it hard to get used to the controls. Nothing to worry about though.

Other than that you have a pretty good game on your hands. A simple objective to get the ball from one place to another by useing some sort of item was a good idea. But it can get a little boring at times.

The graphics are nice and the whole thing looks well put together. I've played through most of it and have not yet found any bugs. Nor have I found anything I despise about this game.

Fun

I found myself playing this for a few hours.

Indeed it is a good remix of the older classic. Except you had a few touches of your own. The music went nicely with it and I loved how when the level changed the color did as well.
It can get a little boring at times, but it suprisingly gets better. The different balls that help you take out the others, the unique ways they do it just keeps me tuned in.

I see a lot of work put into this, and I congratulate you on a job well done.

It needs some improving.

There is a lot that needs to be done with this. It's not bad but there should at least be a small tune or song that plays in the game. Without this you'll only hear the gun fire. Which can get annoying. It's good that you've added to option to turn it off.

The control screen (Where you read the controls) is really hard to pick out what is what. It seems smeared across the screen. I don't know if you did that on purpose, but I would have a decent little picture of the game while reading the controls.
After clicking play I came across a white bland screen that that had the buttons options, upgrades, and the choice to turn on/off the turrents.
Not enough time was put into making the I guess I would say "pause" screen. It's dull and doesn't really have anything unique about it. Just 4 buttons and a stat box.

I suggest starting with that screen and filling it in. There is too much space left out. Filling in that negative space will greatly improve on the looks.
Instead of white, use more of a metal look to it. Probably input a picture of some kind.

I see nothing too special about this game. The gameplay is alright. I had a little fun, but the graphics need a tune-up. The penguins do look like penguins, just there not well made as the guns.

This game has upgrades, and it has different choices of wepons. It's not that bad of a game. It looks as if you did do some work on this and actually tried. I had some fun playing this and I am sure everyone else did.
Keep trying, and good luck on future submissions.

Come on now... enough about me. Tell me about yourself.
